How do I make an order?

You may order online using this website to complete the purchase -or- offline by eTransfer or mailing in your payment, see How To Order.

How do I log into my account?

You do not need an account to use the website or add items to your shopping cart. If you wish to pay with a Paypal account during checkout, you'll be required to log into Paypal - please contact Paypal if you cannot log-in.

My checkout page is just a blank screen?

If this happens while you're on the desktop version of the website, please clear/delete your web browsers data. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and Opera all have different methods of clearing data - some call it cookies and others cache. Please internet search "How to clear Your Browser data" to find instructions.

What payments do you except?

You may pay with a Paypal account, or you may pay without logging into Paypal and use your credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover) directly. You may also pay offline with eTransfer, money order, cashiers cheque, company cheque, or personal cheque - see #2 Ordering Offline.

Do you accept Paypal?

Yes, you may pay by logging into your Paypal account, or you may pay without logging into Paypal and use your credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover) directly.

How do I track orders?

Orders shipped with either Expedited Parcel or Xpresspost come with tracking and will be provided via email by Canada Post, at the time of departure. Orders shipped by Lettermail do not come with tracking. Delivery time for all shipping methods should not exceed 7 business days (in Canada) after you have received your Shipping Email Confirmation from us.

How do I know my order completed?

When ordering online, you will receive an email receipt to confirm the transaction within minutes of completing your order. Please check your spam/junk folder to see if it made it into there.

Is shipping really free?

Yes, all orders come with free shipping worldwide. Shipping costs within Canada are already some of the highest in the world and it's actually more economical to ship to the majority of international addresses.

Is there faster shipping available?

Yes, you may add Xpresspost 1-3 business day service to your order at any time before it actually ships; it automatically links to your order.

Do you ship to my location?

We ship to all Canadian Provinces and territories, USA continental and its territories, and most international countries.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Yes, we ship to all addresses. If you are at a rural residence, business or simply require a PO Box to get your mail, you can receive our packages.

Can I pick up my order?

We are an online only ecommerce organization. All orders are processed and shipped out of our Alberta warehouse. Sorry, there is no pick-up option.

How long will my order take to ship out?

All orders are usually shipped next business day. If an item is out-of-stock the rest of your order will be shipped and then the back-ordered item once it's in stock.

I won't be home for my delivery?

No worries, all shipments are handled by Canada Post: Expedited Parcel and Xpresspost shipments will leave a slip at your door or mailbox for re-delivery or pickup at your local post office. Lettermail shipments will be sent directly to your mailbox.

How do I check my order status?

Payment confirmation, order updates and shipment confirmation (sent at the time of departure) are all automatically sent to the email you provide when completing the checkout process.

Can I change my order?

You may change your order any time before receiving the Shipping Confirmation Email we send when your ordered is shipped. If your order has already shipped you may send it back for an exchange - shipping costs to re-send it back to you may apply.

My order is late, what do I do?

If your order takes longer than the expected delivery time there may be common reason for it. We ship out of rural Western Canada and found a small percentage of orders sent to Eastern Canada take longer than the expected delivery time. Did you provide the correct address filling out the order? Another common reason why orders are late is because the suite number is missing or the address is wrong altogether, like an old address.

Can I make an order and send it to someone else?

Yes, during checkout you may encounter an error if using the giftees address. If this occurs, use your own address and email the giftees address after order completion. Please note sending to an address other than yours voids any shipping insurance.

Do you have a fraud policy?

Yes, we use a third party investigation service to follow up with fraudulent orders, forwarding all gathered information to the RCMP.

What currency are the prices in?

Is there any custom or duty fees?

Canadian customers experience zero duty or custom fees, we ship out of Alberta, Canada. USA customers will receive their orders from USPS and should not experience custom or duty fees for orders under $800. International customers may experience custom or duty fees.

Do you sell other products than what is listed here?

Yes, there are many different items available through our various websites: OnlineStoreNetwork. You may also email us at any time with a product request.

How can I become a supplier?

We offer a wholesale service for ordering products found on this website. No order is too small or large and you can email us at any time to inquire.

Is shopping on here secure?

Yes, we use a third party check-out service that has a secure SSL 128 bit encryption ordering process. When you add items to your cart they will be added to a separate secure webpage.

After ordering will I keep getting emails?

No, after the Order Follow-up Email you will not receive any further emails.

Is there a smartphone friendly version?

This is rather technical: In order to view the smartphone version of this website, you need to be using a smartphone displaying a screen width of 699 pixels or less, not to be confused with your phones actual resolution. A tablet or laptop should show the regular desktop version. An iPhone 6 for example will show you the mobile version, if no mobile version is displayed then please accept our apologies - there will be a mobile version coming soon.

How to Order Online:

2) In Your Shopping Cart page, please click "Continue Shopping" to add other items. You may also change the Quantity in Your Shopping Cart.

3) Once you're finished in Your Shopping Cart...

4) If you clicked "Check Out" please fill out the Payment Form, then the blue "Continue" button to continue.

*Please Note: "Shipping method" is not required or included, as shipping is free. Xpresspost 1-3 business day service is added as an additional product, not in the "Shipping Method".

How to order online and offline:

You may purchase by using one of the following credit cards: Visa, MastercardAmerican Express, and Discover. It will be submitted through our 100% secured shopping page.

e-Transfer is a newer service offered by most large banks and credit unions with over 250 participating financial institutions (read more). How to send an e-Transfer:
  1. Please send the eTransfer using online banking or calling your financial institution
  2. To calculate amount to send, please add (+) together the items you're ordering and times (x) by 1.05 to add GST, shipping is free
  3. When setting up eTransfer with your financial institution, please provide this email: info@lightstrips.ca
  4. When setting up eTransfer with your financial institution, you'll be providing them with a password
  5. After you have initiated your eTransfer, please email us with:
    • The eTransfer password
    • Your full mailing address
    • List of items your ordered
  6. We will reply and accept the eTransfer within 24 hours. Orders are usually shipped next business day.
You may pay with a certified cheque, purchased directly from your bank or credit union. Please contact us for further instructions if wishing to pay by certified cheque. You can calculate the final cost using this formula (total cost x 1.05), shipping is free. Please send Cheque along with a note including item/s ordered and the full mailing address where you wish your order to be sent to. Orders are usually shipped next business day.

You may pay with a money order purchased from a bank, credit union, a post office, or Western Union. Please contact us for further instructions if wishing to pay by Money Order. You can calculate the final cost using this formula (total cost x 1.05), shipping is free. Please send Money Order along with a note including item/s ordered and the full mailing address where you wish your order to be sent to. Orders are usually shipped next business day.

You may pay with a personal cheque purchased from your bank or credit union. Please contact us for further instructions if wishing to pay by Personal/Company Cheque. You can calculate the final cost using this formula (total cost x 1.05), shipping is free. Shipments sent to the United States are handled by Canada Post Corporation and is based on your purchase total. The customer is responsible for US Customs and Border Protection specific tariffs and duties by the government. Most orders are send by USA Lettermail (6 - 12 business days)


LightStrips.ca ships to most foreign countries. Free shipping on all products! Please note that some countries will impose tariffs on items shipped abroad. The customer is responsible for any country specific tariffs and duties added by their respective government. Shipments to be sent Internationally are handled by Canada Post Corporation. Most orders are send by International Surface Small Packets (4 - 6 weeks)

Xpress Post (1-3 business day) Canada 

Faster domestic shipping is handled via Xpresspost by Canada Post Corporation, and includes tracking, delivery confirmation and $100 liability coverage. Most orders are an additional $20.00 for Xpresspost, please contact after your order is made to request faster shipping.

Return Policy
Exchanges can be made with defective items within 30 days of receipt of purchase.

If your item you wish to exchange is no longer available you may be issued a credit for purchasing items at LightStrips.ca for a future date no longer then 365 days after receipt of purchase. All exchanged merchandise must be in original factory packaging, including all packaging materials, inserts and manuals, warranty cards (not filled-out) and all accessories.

*All exchanges require your original LightStrips.ca receipt.
*Customer is responsible for ensuring shipping address is correct.
*If a refund is necessary we only refund the price of the product, not the shipping costs.

Our standard is to ship same day or next day when product is in stock and payment has been completed. If we do not have the stock for the quantities you wish to order the lead time before receiving the products from our vendors can be anywhere from one to three weeks. We are not liable for delivery delays due to causes out of our control. Freight is pre-paid and added to the invoice.

Hello! Thank you very much for visiting. We are a small independent family-owned Canadian business that defies the odds by operating in a small town of rural Alberta while providing an online only retail experience. Our first ecommerce store was established in 2009 and since then this store and others have been born to cater to specific areas of interest more here.
